I am now offering one to one art tutoring and occasional in person group courses in my South London Studio. See below for more details of each. I have plenty of art teaching experience having founded a company called “Sketchout’ in 2012 that designed and ran drawing courses in top London Museums for 8 years until 2020. I also wrote a ‘how to’ art book called “The Big Painting Challenge” that was published by Ebury Press.

Tutoring

I can tutor children or adults at your home or at my Croydon Studio or online.

Prices start at £35 an hour + any travel expenses that I incur.

Tutoring would be suitable for children/teenagers working toward art scholarships/art school entry and adults wanting to develop or begin an art practice as well as professional practice for artists including marketing and social media for artists/creatives. Get in touch to find out more.

Courses

These are run from my bright and airy studio in West Croydon. Class size is 8 people maximum and include materials.

I recommend bringing a packed lunch each day but there is also a M&S nearby where you can buy lunch if you can’t bring you own. We will eat together in the communal break out space in the studio.

3 Day Still Life Painting Course from the 21st -23rd of May 2025.

The days will start at 10.30 and go on till 4.30pm. We will have a break for lunch from 1.30 till 2pm

What you will Learn

Sketching and drawing with paint techniques and ways to loosen up

Working on textured and non textured surfaces

Surface preparation and manipulation

Using different media for a variety of mark making, colour and feel

How to work with layering and why to.

Who’s it for ?

This course if for anyone from beginner to professional artist who would like to spend 3 days developing and diversifying their approach to Still Life inspired by but not limited to Rosa’s own practice as a starting point.

Once booked you can cancel with a full refund up until and including May 1st. After May 1st cancellations will not be refunded.
